Redwood Dance

As fine an inspiration
The redwood trees are
They still are too huge
To fall down off of
Listening to an Enya song
Covering my heart with music
Soothing the grumpy soul
That lies deep within
Maybe I’ll dance
Under the stars bright
Grooving to the moves of night
Taking down these redwoods
Till the morning light

I love the redwood trees.. I would enjoy dancing under a dreamy starry sky with their enormous roots at my feet. Talking to these inspirational giants sounds oh so magical. Enjoyed reading your poetry this afternoon, Russell. Gwendolen
