Redundancy

How redundant is it to give out a word to the wise. Is it not the fools who most need the advice?

Definitely a good question! Perhaps most fools think they are quite wise, and may perk their ears when they hear that they must be being addressed. ;) Always, Laura

So true. But of course it takes wisdom to accept advise. Nice...

Thanks for your visit and insight, Scott. This was somewhat of a silly piece from my end - but it seems to have gotten people thinking :)

There is a fool in every wise man...they are wise because they know they are part foolish, hence they understand their nature's more advantageously. I like how you confront tradition Timothy. Redundancy is one way to be thorough and diverse, i have an affinity for efficiency though. J.A.B.

Wise because they know they are part foolish - well stated! I think it was Bertrand Russell that stated, "The problems with the world today, is that fools and fanatics are always so sure of themselves. While the wise are full of doubts."

ho ho Tim, this may be so, but the fools never heed advice, only the wise. Safe travels to you, hope you enjoy the time with your sis and children.

I just got back yesterday - I had a great time spending time with my nephews and niece; playing board games and going on walks. But also very glad to be back in my own bed! I understand the original thoughts behind the saying - but it's funny to poke fun at things we say everyday, without putting much thought in it. Glad you liked!
