Reduce Plastic Procrastination

Pick a pig to picnic with
on a summers day,
pick a name to give that pig,
Percy seems okay.

I wonder what they'll think of you?
Is that your pig they'll say,
then chuck it on the barbeque..
REDUCE PLASTIC WASTE TODAY

Fossil fuels pollute the Earth
as do cows when bottoms burp,
if there's demand then there's a worth,
extinction rallies get on my nerves

methane gas and co2,
Vegan meals and mass produce,
electric cars or hot air balloons,
the past and future both seem gloom.

maybe mankind's at its peak,
industrialised and causing heat,
going extinct on repeat,
every 3 trillion weeks,

When from the Earth a new food chain,
the creature with the greatest brain,
accountable not greed and gain,
intelligent life? but we're insane,

are we in an ice age now,
an ice age slowly fading out,
Earths rotation of heat and drought,
a cycle sure to come about

quoting from when records began,
and the knowledge it offers man,
as if we think we understand,
the day that Percy pig had planned.

He didn't know of that barbeque,
think we know the Earth do you?
Climate change might just be true,
but our knowledge is absolute...
we guess because we have no clue,
our records are just the root,
intelligent life... ah that's so cute

hypothesis that might be true,
theories we struggle to prove,
religion exists without proof,
facts of old differ from facts of new

we crawled out of the seas,
were chased out of the trees,
we lived in caves and now cities,
we're intelligent are we,

as much sense as a picnic pig
with all its picnic feast
the point I had is one I've missed
the thought process has ceased

It's hard to speak philosophy
I've no intellectual property,
From stupid start to logically,
I didn't write this properly,

It's late and my mind feels frustration,
the shops are shut and I want bacon,
writing down my procrastination
my thoughts that have no destination

writing it just to write it,
I was not the brightest kid,
they said I must have "randomitis"
I'd rather that than their "impoliteness"

if everyone is judging you,
then judging's not something you do,
impulsive people speak the truth,
I say it, I dont think it through

so you can label me unstable,
hold it back as you are able,
I was born filter disabled
judging me, but I don't label.

Ah, Nick, don't be hard on yourself! I loved this poem from beginning to end. So many good images; so many interesting considerations. Good penning.
