Redemption
Somewhere in the outside world
His songs were being sung
Songs he wrote to praise his God
When he was very young
But as he grew he took that life
And placed it far behind
It’s not that his belief had changed
It was just another time
A time when life was simpler
A time when he could hear
A calling that enriched his soul
But now had disappeared
Thirty-seven years went by
And somewhere deep inside
He found the songs he sang when young
Could no longer be denied
So one more time he raised his voice
In songs from long ago
He felt his faith again renewed
And heard God say… hello
