Red Shoes

I can't afford these damn Red Shoes
Shoes too Red to wear everyday
they're too high, too strappy
So loud they make me happy

A Shoe causing to you look up
stomping in like a dare
makes every man look up
makes every woman swear

Lord, save me from these shoes
the mess I hope they get me into
See, I need a little trouble
not whole lot, just a little

They make feel like
puttin my foot down
and makin my man look up
makin my man swear

Swear he won't buy me these Red Shoes
with heels that make my legs too long
they're too high, too strappy
However I just got paid, and he's wrong

I need these damn Red Shoes
these Shoes, they fit me and we talk
They dance me straight into myself
and fit well enough to let me just walk
