Red Moon Rising

The sun aligning perfectly behind the moon creates an eclipse which renders the moon visually brilliant red. It is said this opens a path to our spiritual being and hidden layers of our emotions. We then can explore our rage, shame, and grief. (Our darker side). - The poet. Don’t go out tonight, something’s not all right. Trouble is on its way, dark emotions will be at play. Wild anger takes the stage, in the form of my rage. In my forlorn grief, only I have belief. The sun lights the flame, to ignite my shame. Red moon rising. It’s not surprising. Hidden layers of my emotions, put aside my devotions. Each spiritual aspect, only I can reject. The blood moon, to open the path soon. To take me to the darker side, no need for me to hide. It chills me to the fingertips. Sun behind the moon eclipse. My emotions I am analyzing, as the red moon is rising.

Thank you so much Edward. So sorry for the late reply. I don't know how I missed all the comments on this page. I remember reading them all. Something must have distracted me before I replied.

Very beautiful writing in another form. The rhyming of each line is something very typical. Congratulations!

Ours a tad similar, in regard to the undertones chosen, our dark side perhaps? For one exception, yours brilliant and gave me chills! b0l Wen. CCR-a perfect appendage. My neighbors Becky and Gaylen blasted CCR all summer back in 1970ish I love them. "Proud Mary" "Born On The Bayou" More Chills! ;D
