Very nice message through this beautiful haiku,Sara.Only man can go against the law of nature.Look at the birds they neither sow nor reap, they have no store room nor barns and yet God feeds them, how much more valuable you are than birds,Luke 12:24.Congratulations on your win in the contest. Thanks for your comment on my poetry. I hope you entered this beautiful haiku in Carol's contest, because it's a winner for sure. Love the way you describe the male cardinal allowing the female to eat first. There is such harmony in nature. I was Carol's last entry and her contest is closed now. Also wrote for John Freeman's but don't have time for some of the others. I am out of town until Wednesday, but wanted to say hi. Love you and your poetry, Carolyn

Hi Sara! Love the birds and love this poem! The Cardinals are such gentle and affable birds. Even their voices sound quiet and sweet. Thanks for the comment, Sara. I don't believe you need worry about soapy bubbles popping in your face.:) When I was little, my mom took a bar of yellow sunlight soap and washed my mouth out. Since then, I've felt more illuminated? NOT!:) Best to you, love, Mikki
