Red Baron

Pink and yellow flowers;
Distinguished
And boastful
In their exuberating
Colours,

Braced themselves
On tender stalks
Of watery greens,

While Butterflies
Dressed as Red Barons,
Hovered and hummed
And flapped
Their Scarlet wings
Feverishly.
