Recovery of a Broken Heart

you broke my heart, but i am still here
worked it through, got over all my fear
i am building myself up, once more
strengthen my soul down to the core

shook me cold but i will survive
for once again i am alive
i saw you once and everywhere
broken down, it was hard to bare

so this is my recovery
not a big discovery
meaning nothing to you
but i will work this through

i see you out with your girlfriend
and i know my heart is on the mend
nothing more to you to say
our love ended long before this may

i don't hate you i never could
even though they said i should
a new love takes a fear of rejection
friendship i hope lay's in the new direction
