6 steps forward, 3 steps back. 4 steps forward, 1 step back. 3 steps forward, 2 steps back. We climb the spiral staircase. Paddling sometimes against the waves, trying to keep us trapped on an island of discouragement and despair. Certain, that our future is bright. Certain, that symptoms will fade. Certain, that peace is a foregone conclusion.
