Reckoning
I’m seventy three.
And still all me,
with all my fingers and toes
but God only knows
what ever else.
I know who I am.
The “who”of me.
I don’t dwell on what I’ve been
at times now and then
of a lesser self.
I improve, don’t you see
I learn, I teach.
Needful to be all I can
Until time will ban
participation.
