Reckless

I truly have been reckless
I look at my life like a rear view
shaking my head because
there isn't any editing
that I can do to fix you
I was in desperate need of affection
When you swindled me out of my most prized possession
there was a quick beginning and end to the satisfaction
I felt like I didn't even matter.
Now I have a picture as clear as day
yet I can never erase it away
I'm afraid to let anyone else in
I went from being reckless
to being overly protective of my heart
and now I don't know where to start.
