Reciprocity

Written By: D. Collins 9/9/20
I have no expectations. It is whatever you choose.
From this day forward, we'll play by your rules.
If it makes you happy to act like you never knew me.
I have no alternative but to show some reciprocity.
I tried to keep the flame burning, and you want it to flicker out.
It should give you solace to know I'm now taking your route.
You now have more time to spend with family and friends.
And, the room to hangout and have a choice of men.
Hopefully, someone comes along who really rocks your world.
Give you that feeling that make your toes curl.
Think back to when you decided there was no we.
Now I'm returning the favor with reciprocity.
I'm sure the new opportunity will take you very far.
But, this brother right here doesn't know who you are.
You have suddenly become a stranger to me.
Go out and have your fun, live life, and be free.
