Notes About The Poem

Recharging

In the daylight hours
It’s so much easier
To maintain the illusion
That everything’s all right
With our fragile world
Under the moon’s caress
I have the luxury
Of crying myself to sleep
As the batteries recharge

Nicely summed in such a short poem. Great imagery.

Daylight hours are so full of illusion, but we do not have to try and fool our sleep. It knows.

So true. I remember reading and enjoying one of your poems that said just that, Caren.
