Rebuttal

I am not responsible
for your irresponsibility,
I cannot return
what you have not given to me,
I am not accountable
for your unaccountability.
I cannot understand
if you are incomprehensible,
It’s hard for me to forgive
if you refuse to forgive me.
I find it hard to be transparent
in view of your lack of transparency,
So, when you are accusing me
consider why I think as I do,
For the way you treat me
says a lot about the way I treat you.
