Rebirth

Death is not easy.
Death is a process steeped in excruciating pain.
The ego fights,
The wounded parts beg to remain.
All the ways we felt an illusion of what it's like to be safe.

We change our external circumstances,
How we present ourselves.
We change our approach,
Try again and again

But on the path of truth we can not escape death.

It is a necessary step.
We will die time and time again.
Piece by piece brought to light,
What no longer belongs can not remain.

It's not a physical death,
It's not something we can mentally comprehend.

It's the death of our projections from the shadowy internal self.

All we have carried convinced it was ours,
The weight of expectations ,
Self betrayal,
Self sabotage.

The death of comparison,
The thinking,
The not feeling of what's true.
The death of all those parts that deny the divine to flow through.

I have been judged ,
So much judgment I have placed.
My jealousy has kept me immobilized,
There is no one to blame.
There is no one left to hate.

I die now peacefully so I can be reborn in a divine way.

Hidden no more because I am not ashamed of who I am.

All I have been taught to believe,
If not in alignment with god's love for me,
Can not remain.

I am safe.
