Reasonable Doubt?!

What would they think of my words? Do I care?
Into my heart and mind, doubt starts to creep.
The story that I have to tell is deep.
Could they really understand? Do I share?
Could anyone else relate? Am I rare?
The thought of isolation makes me weep.
Barring my soul will take a faithful leap.
Would they criticize my work? Do they dare?
These four questions might keep me from writing
The greatest story that was ever told.
So, this doubt, I must continue fighting,
Since this story should not be put on hold.
Candles in the dark; these words are lighting,
Which is why I will have to remain bold.
