Rearview Mirror

You take me for granted
You always have
You run over me
Stomp on me
Treat me like dirt
Under your feet
Have I offended you
Was I not
Always there for you
You grated me
Put holes in my existence
Years of being
Your conduit through life
You don't care to look
At what you left behind
A pile of rubble

Very expressive write, Greg. I don't see much success in such a relationship. Perhaps counseling....or moving on! Congrats on your win. // paul

Hi Greg, this is such a powerful write about selfish, heartless people who take us for granted. Well we don't deserve any kind of abuse so we shouldn't put up with it and give them the boot! Congratulations on a fine, well-deserved win, my friend!
