Notes About The Poem

What a certain presidential candidate might say if he wrote poetry. Think about it.

Really Like To Hear My Name

Really like to Hear My Name

Really like to hear my name
Yelled by the massive throng
My family cheering with them
Telling me where I belong

I'm here to save the country
That has fallen by the side
Here to make it great again
Not just coming for the ride

It has made a billionaire of me
I would like to pay it back
It's why I'm living in a penthouse
Not a run down beaten shack

Have more than ever needed
I think I've made that very clear
That's why I run for president
To bring it to the ones who cheer

Not saying they will get the same
In this great land of the free
Only that they'll get the chance again
To have the opportunity

Want to end the great uncaring
The selfishness we have today
Make us a team who plays together
In the Founding Fathers' Way

Many don't believe this
That it's the reason that I came
They think I'm selfish just like them
And really like to hear my name
