"really Bad Egg"

I “Go on Account” when I’m feeling dull,
Fly a Jolly Roger with crossbones and skull;

Become a “Freebooter” and Pillage and Loot,
Where I can do as I please, drink and shoot;

On most days a “Landlubber” I may be,
But now and then I’ve love of the Sea;

“Plundering Booty” in the “Sweet Trade”
“The Dance with Jack Ketch” I hope to evade

“Drivelswigger” usually applies to me,
Without books about pillaging, where would I be;

I might “Swallow the Anchor” when I’m ready to quit,
But not until plenty of sins I commit!
