realizing she was pretty

The silk sarong arrived more gorgeous than advertised.
Emerald green with gold stitching; Annabeth was thrilled.
As she wrapped herself, she caught her reflection in the mirror.
She gasped. I am pretty! She looked away quickly, feeling vain.
Her husband was watching, admiring his beautiful wife.
Not realizing her awakening.
