Reality Dream
Bottled up inside a dream
But very much awake
As I think about you
My heart it aches
Screaming down a crowded street
With just the earth beneath my feet
Watching and waiting as my world goes by
Now and again I want to cry
With you the pain I see tomorrow
My heart filled with hope and sorrow
Happy tears of what you can see
About the pain you have yet to cause me
Love is what I have yet to feel
With each new day
A cars new turning wheel
I sit and wonder about your touch
Or if this pain is just too much
As my heart it tries to mend
The pain it never seems to end
Sad, hope, lost or scared
Why do we feel this?
Each on a different day
Why can’t we just live our lives?
And stay that way
Because our lives are not always what they seem
Doesn’t it feel like we are all bottled up inside a dream?
