Reality

Once upon a time
we were happy
together
Forever

We were going to
get married
Someday, you said.

Should have known
it wouldn’t last

You broke
my heart

like you would have
in the end

Memories flash
before me

a smile
a hug
stupid jokes
laughter

Innocence.

It ended
in tears

A shattered heart
a taste of
Reality

Fairytales
are only
kid’s stories

But how I
Wanted
to believe them

I wanted
you and I

to live
Happily
Ever
After.
