Reality

Her eyes glued
to the star scattered sky
feeling every single sad tear,
drop down from her tired eyes
Never wanted much,
all she asked for
was to be genuinely loved
knowing deep in her core
she'd never make the cut..
No matter who,
No matter what
Almost forgetting how it felt to be hugged
so hard to look at herself in a mirror
bc she's so full of self hatred & disgust
Attempted to ask for help so long
screaming to deaf ears
..she gave up
Reciting in her mind nonstop each failure & dissapointment she'd ever caused
sleep is no longer an option
she dreads those fckd up dreams
Of when a fist was the only way
she was touched
Years ago, he finally found her....
like she had wished for, for so long
By the time he saw her soul though
So much had already gone wrong
It was almost impossible to see
Now so ugly on the outside
he began to despise loving her ,
because he couldn't leave
They both knew that together
anything could be achieved
Scars covered every part of her
 body, mind, heart & soul
A future that was once so clearly seen
Now more than obvious,
was just a one sided hopeless dream
She forced herself not to believe
Needing him more than ever before
But he just couldnt Get passed
the past times he felt deceived
Even with his heartless words and actions
That destroyed her self-esteem
Nor Could he believe
he was her entire reason to breathe
He stayed by her side
With an uncontrollable resistance
She could feel that once unbreakable
magnetic connection
Now almost non existent
Breaking her heart more and more
With the ever growing distance
