Reality

I turned my back trying not to face reality and the images of you walking away, so I told myself not to look back, look at you, and the life you left strew across the floor. From angry words like the sharp shards of glass across the floor piercing into my skin as I sit here turned away. Black tears run rivulets down my cheeks black and cold like the night that swallowed you whole as you walked away.
