Reality

There he was,
standing in front of me.
I could feel the radiance he gave off.
The vast love he had,
made me sick.
When I allowed myself to love him,
he dragged me to the underworld,
to where the devil rested.

Why was I surprised?
Along with his radiance
came a foul odor,
which overpowered him,
leaving the people around him in awe.
Banshee came out from oblivion,
bringing with it obscene faces.
It was time for me to go,
as darkness rang its bell again.
