Real Time
So then did I follow the ways of my youth down all the days of tomorrow
Only to find I had left some behind written in sad lays of sorrow
Turning and burning in embers of fires long since doused
Traces of faces forgetting laughing unheard from a time that we cared
Wrinkled old cheeks so past wetting reasons and seasons regretting
Oh for an hour neath that old water tower
Fumbling and feeling the moon
Tasting and wasting the nights and the flights
of fanciful dreaming in tune
Sitting back resting in this garden's charms
Looking at eden so long
Feeling the realness of you in my arms
I thankfully know I belong
