Real People

Real people,
Who remain loyal and true.
Real people;
In time of need, they're there for you!
Real people,
On whom you can rely.
Real people,
Prefer  saying "see you later", rather than "Goodbye,"
Real people,
who never wear a mask.
Real people,
Pitch in to help with any task!
Real people,
Stand shoulder to shoulder with their brothers.
Real people
Find ways of serving others.
Real people
May not always know what to do.
Real people
Know the One they can always turn to!
Real people
Are genuinely able to care.
Real people
Will take your needs to God in prayer.
Real people
Aren't phony, but genuine.
Real people 
Follow a pattern that's divine.
Real people
Truly know how to love
Real people
Can be used by God above!

Carolyn Devonshire September 17, 2009 at 1:18 PM Wonderful description of "Real People." These are the types of people we want for our friends, not "good-time Charlies" who abandon us when times are tough. You seem to have a great understanding of the qualities that make friends special. Excellent write, Charlie! Love, Carolyn (And I might add, I have found Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen, a fellow Souper" to be as "real" as they come. I feel blessed to have her friendship.)
