Real Blood

Poem: Real Blood

Real blood?
that's
what they
say -
Real blood?
real blood
runs deep:
Deeper than
any
blood -
And
real blood
is
thick,
thicker than
water
blood (they say) -
that
runs through
the
veins
of
those
who are
not
real blood -
And
that's deep
to me -
Cause
I know about
real blood,
and
how real blood
can be -
For I
have seen
real blood
turn to
mud,
in the
blood
of
my blood -
That's
too deep
for me -
Real blood?
that's
what they
say -
