Reading Eyes

I wonder if you love me
I wonder if it’s true
If eyes were trusted witnesses
You love me it is true
I wonder if you love me
I guess I cannot know
Unless either of us is bold enough
To speak the truth we know
I wonder if you love me
If it’s up to me-I’ll never know.

"If it's up to me-I'll never know". Your last line is a warning not to tell. This poem is such a sweet tease. That's what makes the game fun, "Unless either of us is bold enough" to stop it.
