Read Slowly

You skim the lines,
Scanning for significant words
These are not text messages
They are the lines on my face
The creases of my hands
They cannot be rushed

Did you come here for a quick fix
You race through like an airport
Glancing up at the departure board
A quick look then gone again
This sacred space, this Louvre of hearts

Walk quietly through this gallery
Read it slowly, read it twice, read it.

Thank you for your kind feedback Gina, it really means a lot to hear someone who has so much work to speak from.
