Read Me Like a Love Letter

Perhaps...
My problem is that
I expect you to
See me as clearly
As I feel you-
My tongue never
Knows how to
Speak to you,
So I try to tell you
Everything I am
With my eyes...
You tend to make
Me feel like an
Open book,
So maybe I'm just
Dissappointed
You don't know
How to read me...
If it will help you
See me better,
I'll cover my skin
With poetry, so
That you can read
My arms like
A love letter-
So that my body
Becomes something
That you can read,
As if it means
Something-
And so that then,
When you read
My poetry from
Paper,
You will read it
Like my skin-
As if it means
Something...
If you want,
I can teach you
The language
Of my soul,
Because I want
To mean something
To you...
And I want to learn
The language of
Your soul.
