Reaching Out To Hold You

In the midnight clouds,
I reach out to hold you near
Covered by sheer shrouds

Without you by me
Lying down, so wide awake
How can I be free?

You approach me now
But, you spread your precious wings
You begin to soar

Must let go, I guess
I will smile away my frown
Hide away distress

Above lament's lake
Soaring below the surface...
You felt low and dry

Let me love you please
I reach out to hold you dear
Quit being a tease
