Notes About The Poem

Reachin- -

Reaching in my pocket trying to pull out a quarter; Reaching the oven to see if the pie is in order; (Is it done?) But Oh is I, just a shallow one; Am I Lord reaching my full potential; All this is lost if I haven’t got order; I’ll be continually held down if I keep the monkey on my shoulder; Reaching into my heart, thinking bout marriage; Reaching for a mutual thing; (Will it come again?) But O am I just a dreamer so; Am I worthy again for love Oh… All this is lost if I ain’t in order; All is naught, if I have not God in my order; I pray reaching in my heart and mind; I say Lord God keep me give me a sign; Reaching, in order, reaching, reaching God’s got something for us; Just be still raise them heart clear those hearts and minds… Reaching for the mark, reaching for the cross, reaching in onto Christ… Reaching for His heart, reaching for a brand new start Reaching in onto the Lord God Jesus Christ…,/

James, I like Old Gospel Songs. The hymnals are slowly being replaced by big displays. If it isn't asking too much. Pray for all of us, sinners and righteous alike. -Richard
