Ray of Sunshine

When I’ve fallen down Into Winter’s dark depths, Covered by her heavy shroud, With cold winds whipping, And aching bones, I remember the warmth Of your little smile, And feel the flames of your laughter Burn through the receding blackness, Waking in me a slumbering joy, That rises like the sun.
