Ray of Sunshine
When I’ve fallen down
Into Winter’s dark depths,
Covered by her heavy shroud,
With cold winds whipping,
And aching bones,
I remember the warmth
Of your little smile,
And feel the flames of your laughter
Burn through the receding blackness,
Waking in me a slumbering joy,
That rises like the sun.
