Ravenous
Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Ravenous
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: June/1986
Soon,
their want be
mountains, valleys,
rivers,
or hills -
For
the ravenous
ones
will gorge,
and
swallow up
the surely raw
simplicity
of
nature -
Craving
and
greed
as a whole,
will not
fill
their
stomach's -
The
beast within
will
hunger
for more,
until
the forest
become
forest-less,
Until
it's
thirsty throat
become
famished,
depriving
the land
of
all it's
resources -
When
will it
end?
Soon,
their want
be
mountains, valleys,
rivers,
or
hills -
