Rather Be Happy
I could cry until I run out of tears,
I can write until my ink is all gone,
I can play sad songs until the batteries die
But I would rather be happy
And laugh you away
I could cry each and every day
I could be depressed and sad
I could crawl under a shell and die
But I would rather be happy
And smile through the pain
I could ask questions and try to figure out why
I could try my best to get you back
I could hurt myself trying
But I would rather be happy
And praise God
