Rapture

Sacred sheen swaddles soul made of serene,
soul sun-lit, lifts sinless, into saints midst;
eternal, everlasting evergreen,
essence exits Earth’s exist; white-light kissed.

Soul sun-lit, lifts sinless into saint's midst,
guardian’s wings whispering soul above;
essence exits Earth’s exist white-light kissed,
blue blessing petals dressing soul with love.

Guardian's wings whispering soul above
where fragrant is God. Pure frankincense awed
blue blessing petals dressing soul with love,
spirit freed from seedpod no longer flawed.

Where fragrant is God pure frankincense awed,
eternal, everlasting evergreen,
spirit freed from seedpod, no longer flawed;
sacred - sheen swaddles soul made of serene.

Wow... what an amazing pantoum.. it is a difficult form in itself but to include alliteration is a sign of your poetic talent...

If I understand this correctly you are here referring to the resurrection, Susan, a special moment in time when humans and their creator come face to face...an eternal reunion. Many think of it with apprehension, but you make it sound beautiful, something to look forward to. ~ A very good Pantoum sprinkled with alliteration and smooth rhyme. ~ Warm regards // paul

Paul, you do indeed understand this correctly. This is how envision this moment to be and it was inspired by a dream I had of my beloved Mom who departed this world too soon. The blue blessing petals refer to the Virgin Mary (my Mom's beloved spiritual figure) and her assisting angels.Thank you for your wonderful friendship and your special insight. You brighten my poetry with your warmth and joy! Warmest wishes.~Susan

Well if the challenge was to describe Rapture , Susan, and the job was to be given to you , then it was given to the right person. How wonderfully well you have crafted this poem. Another form that you excel in. Bravo....Maria xxx

Never wrote a Pantoum - Seems like a complex form to write - yet you write with such elegance and great alliteration.
