Rami
The lovechild of a god and a poet
Your eyes in that photo
They spoke of kindness and innocence
The heart on your neck, I took as a sign
Only the heart became a diamond, pointed
Your eyes grew fierce, begging for a challenge
What do you need —
Patience?
My surest weakness
This you ask from me again and again
Stillness?
A most unnatural way
For a dogged scientist
If I could learn your tongue
Hear your thoughts, hold your feelings
Speak my devotion to you the way I know how
I yearn for our souls to meet
Wouldn’t then everything be alright?
Red hair and dark eyes
The way you rest your head on me
I do love you so
Yet your teeth are sharp and draw blood
I pray to discover the lessons you teach
