Raising the Flag

Raising the flag of a cease-fire standing like a stag looking upon the valley wide not yet trusting the calm while watching you and I, will we dance or will we fight? And I realize that it is up to me that the choice is mine I know I will not flee I must trust the right that I have in God's majesty, of life, of understanding I, and what it really means. I owe all that I am inside to God, to my Father and Mother I've found the Parents of mankind and I know that this cease-fire will find its way to peace at last. By CarolineCecile - 12/31/2011

I hope that the world can have a permanent cease fire..Life is too valuable to waste our young men and women on a battlefield..Enjoyed reading ...Thanks for the kind review of my work...Sara

Although I think there are problems with the rhythm, I appreciate the anguish that it portrays.
