Raise the Roof

so you gotta second chance to take part in the dance
life is being busy making other plans you understand
as a young child I would dream of far off places
stuck in certain traces with castles built for kings & queens
a balance of spice it could make you think twice
another chance at which to roll the dice
you put one foot forward while the other is back
Dragons through the variation of a dream with people that would scream
A lonely court jester in the middle of the village square
making people laugh with none the worse for wear
in all of your life you need a bit of cheer
now I got back to reality with my head held high to the sky
still take my sugar baby down to the local bar not to far
taking sweet sips on the magic potion busting loose with some lotion
we get out on the dance floor for a bit of more
Raise the roof in my newest suit let loose
Feeling like Travolta in Saturday Night fever get my drift
I get a wiff of the pipe to smoke some weed
playing second fiddle while I'm being stuck in the middle
like the soul brother number one I come undone looking for fun
Raise the roof feeling 100% proof as a fly guy as I am
you understand you can't go through life sticking it to the man
been thinking of the master plan so dance to the record
As if you haven't had mashed potatoes with gravy nothing a bit shady
drop to your sock as I swing onto the next song
like Rodney King said, "Can't we all just get along" ?
Raise the roof bullet proof never to be found with my head in a noose
got this loose tooth inside my head today its the walking dead
got to turn back to your real first love just return to Jesus & he'll give you a big hug.
