Rainy Season

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Rainy Season
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: May/2013

Falling rain
on my
bedroom
window
in early
May -

Looks
more like
teardrops
upon
my face -

Soon
 rainy season
will be
a distant
memory -

returning
once more
in
early
November -

Every year
at this time,
I  pause to
celebrate,

the rain
and
all
 the good
it brings -

But,
passionately,
sad to
say
it's late
May -

Farewell
to rainy
season,
as the
dark clouds
drifts away -

See you
next
year!

Come
early
November -

When rain
begins
to
fall -
