Rainy Days

How I love rainy days
It reminds me of my childhood days
When nothing ever seem to matter
Carefree and innocence all wrapped into one
When all we did was have loads of fun
Under the sheets all tucked into bed as Father took the time to read
While mother prepared her homemade bread
How I learnt to appreciate those rainy days
As rain drops fell onto our window pain
Causing us to want to play out in the rain
How I adore the rainy days
As I looked out over the shore
To see colourful rainbows imprinted across the sky
Rainy days make me smile.
