Rainy Day Woman
Awaken to the melody
of the falling rain
gentle teardrops
on the pane
the clouds have gathered
during the night
to bring to her
this wondrous sight
the crackling fire
shares it's warmth
she's thankful
for the hearth
now it's time
for her to read
while on the sill
the raindrops bead
the sun will appear
the birds will sing
rainy day woman
can do her thing.
