Rain-Storm Girl

i've seen the rain drop a thousand times for a thousand years
i've stood in the storm
and it fell on me
and through me

the sky goes blurry
gray rage
sorrow puddles around my feet
gray rage
mourning floods
gray rage
a thundering lullaby

i know why
the sky sobs
i know why
the sky screams
