Rainsquall Shadows

just a while ago, the rainsquall furiously lashed and blasted away at the roofs and walls; winds wailed like tormented ghosts through cracks and gaps between windows and sills; lightning needled through dark skies between the fluttering curtains and frosted panes; the room shook as though tossed by angry waves rushing, crashing against boulders; but now, the growling thunder sounds more distant, like nightmare that is recalled in sunshine; and her room glows warm in the aftermath of it all, our candlelight shadows dance on the wall !
