Notes About The Poem

Raindrops On My Window

Raindrops On My Window

I turn my ear toward heaven
before each day should start.
Somewhere among the raindrops
I listen for your heart.

Keeping perfect rhythm
with this heart that is my own.
Listening to the raindrops
makes me feel less alone.

Falling soft from heaven
I hear them late at night.
I can almost hear you whisper
everything will be alright.

I wonder as I listen
to the raindrops from the skies.
Can you hear them falling
through the teardrops in my eyes?

Like lightening in the distance
and the sound that thunder makes.
Can you feel inside of me?
And my heart as it breaks?

Comfort carried in the wind
with missing you so real.
While raindrops on my window
help my heart to heal.

Cause I turn my ears toward heaven
before each day should start.
Somewhere among the raindrops
I listen for your heart.

ps - I am also using SONGCAT.BIZ to write a bridge for a song that I am totally stuck on, the name of the song is YOUR WALMART GIRL, and every song coach in Nashville who has heard the first demo loves it, but they all say it needs a bridge. Nothing works for me, and so I have given it to SONGCAT because I know they will get it right. You can hear the original song at YOUTUBE search vee bdosa and then YOUR WALMART GIRL HEATHER to see what I mean.

This should make a pretty fantastic song lyric, everything fits. If you are not so musically inclined, I have used SONGCAT.BIZ to write a music instrumental track to a couple of mine, they do charge 199.00$s, per song, but then the copyright is all yours and they do a fantastic job.

Beautiful, poignant write, Edwin, and only the strength of your love will temper the fact that there will always be more rain. A great poem, a 7 and a fave, thanks, Viv
