Raindrops
RAINDROPS
Because the rain drops fall from hazy blue,
delight is in my heart, when from above,
God shows the world a life that's fresh and new,
repeating age old tales of joy and love;
my eyes and soul are free, and I don't ask
why rain should make me feel so full and free,
I only thank God for the dewy mask
that lies upon the leaves so lovingly.
New life is spread throughout the world each day,
you cannot fail to see each time it rains,
today, tomorrow, watch the raindrops play
spreading their love on leaves, and window panes.
Love cannot fail to grow, when raindrops fall,
of this I'm sure, if nothing else at all.
