Raindrops

Droplets basking in the sun, Signs of life amidst each one, Edges blurred against the grey, Welcoming in the brand new day. Each has run a mysterious path, From cloud to brow to prehistoric past, Absorbed through leaf, skin, and natures turf, So valuable, yet without worth. Often cursed at upon sight, Or praised as melody in the night, Remarkable journey never ends, Farewell droplet, may we meet again. (c) 2015 PJ Bayliss
