Notes About The Poem

Raindrops

Raindrops falling, creating afresh Beautiful moments to be treasured With a gentle caress, each bead cascades Capturing the blessing of the fragrant rain ~ Raindrops whispering against the earth Touching the flowers with soothing hope For a tomorrow filled with a nurturing joy Compassion that thrills the spirit’s core ~ Raindrops falling, pounding the dirt Sighing to the world of sweet promises To bring renewal and replenishment Rebirth to a tired and thirsty country ~ Raindrops caressing the pasture and lawn Creating clean, new colors from the dusty past With fulfilling and whimsical gentleness Calming the heat dried earth with fresh faith ~ Raindrops falling, sending us the blessing Knowing our hearts need this sense of pleasure Only found within the light pulsation of droplets Meant to bring nourishment to a worn world ~ Raindrops echo across the emerald ridges Sustaining the planet with a mysterious glance Into the kindness that comes from above Compassion vowing to bring abundant miracles ~ Raindrops falling, gestures reaching down to us God’s creation ~ filled with wisdom and withstanding All the forces of nature that surround and encourage Reflecting all that is good, glorious and gratifying!

I love reading this poem especially when it rains here. It invokes the child in me. Beautiful words Gina. Much love and blessings :)

I think this poem is stupendous - much harder to write prose and make it sound like poetry than a rhyming poem - kudos Regina. Blessings, Jennifer

You are marvelous at using the repetition of a phrase to both anchor and ignite your poems. This is no exception! Love it. Thanks, Gershon
